Huy received a laptop in 2021 through GiKaD’s PC4Kids program.

After Huy completed high school, his first sponsor was no longer able to continue supporting him. However, through GiKaD’s support and network, another sponsor stepped forward and committed to continuing his educational journey until he successfully completed his university studies.

With the launch of GiKaD’s GL500+ Scholarship Program, Huy received additional support that helped him pursue his studies in Information Technology at the University of Industry and Trade. This long-term accompaniment gave him the opportunity to focus on his education and continue working toward his dream of earning a university degree.

Four years later, the long-awaited moment arrived: Huy proudly received his university diploma and completed his studies with a “Good” classification. This achievement was not only a personal milestone for Huy and his family, but also a meaningful moment for all those who had accompanied, encouraged, and believed in his future throughout the years.

Today, Huy is taking his first steps into his professional life. He works in the Human Resources Department of a logistics company in Tây Ninh Province. His workplace is only about fifteen minutes away from his home by motorbike. Although his current role is not directly related to software development, he is still able to apply the knowledge and skills gained from his Information Technology studies in his daily work.

For a young person who grew up in a financially challenging situation, securing stable employment is a significant step toward independence. Huy’s professional journey is only beginning, but he has already achieved something truly valuable: he is now able to stand on his own feet and shape his own future. For his family, this achievement means far more than any certificate or award.

Huy is the first Greenleaves Scholarship recipient to successfully complete this important milestone after nearly eight years of continuous support – from his secondary school years through to his university graduation. His story demonstrates the lasting impact that educational support can create when young people receive sustained encouragement, guidance, and opportunities over many years.
